Alexis' Pool Party

On Saturday, Ed and I headed off to a graduation party with the baby, while the older girls hung out with Grandma. They went to lunch and a movie. Saturday night Ed and I FINALLY got a much needed break from the kids and celebrated our anniversary 2 weeks late with dinner at the melting pot. I didn't get any pictures of that though. Then on Sunday Alexis had her 11th birthday party. Since Jillian was due 5 days after Alexis turned 11, we decided to hold off until the summer to celebrate!! It looked like rain all morning but turned out to be a great day for the pool.

Up until this year Alexis has only been friends with boys, it was nice to see her hanging out with some of her girlfriends.

Since we had been running around all week we still needed to get a cake for the party on Sunday morning. Alexis and I found this one at the grocery store and it was the perfect cake for her!!

Alexis acting like the crazy kid she is, just before blowing out her candles!!

"The boys". Alexis has had this group of "guy friends" since 1st grade. It will be interesting to see if these guys are still hanging around once they all go to middle school in the fall?????

My mom absolutely HATES having her picture taken, so this a rare shot! I'm surprised she let me take it!

Vacation Bible School

This past weekend was busy busy busy. Alexis and Marissa spent the past week at vacation bible school. They had so much fun and made some new friends. They spent all week preparing for the show on Friday night. I did get a few pictures inside, but they were all kind of blurry since we were not very close to the stage.

Alexis just before the show with the t shirt she painted earlier in the week.

Marissa and Jillian waiting to leave

Alexis and her friend Maddy getting ready to go on stage. They had a part in one of the songs with another girl singing. They kept calling it a "solo" eventhough there were three of them singing together!!!

Jillian was so good the whole night. I think she enjoyed the music and all of the people.

After the show everyone stayed for pretzels and water ice. There were games and a face painter. The girls were getting along really well. It was a nice night!

Tournament continued...

Marissa's fans!!

Ed and Jillian cheering on the Hatboro Skulls!!

Evan and Alexis were also there to root the team on. According to Alexis, Marissa has learned a lot by watching her older sister play for all of these years!!!

Marissa waiting out in right field for a big hit to come her way.

Throwing the ball in to the pitcher. She is SO serious about the game.

Little League Tounament

This weekend was Marissa's 7 and 8 yr old tournament. After practicing every other day for the last 2 weeks the girls took second place.

It was all smiles from the team on Friday night before the first game. By Sunday when they finished their final game most of the girls were not happy having to take second place. Marissa included, she was convinced that a play she made at 3rd base was called wrong by the umpire. I just kept telling her that she did a great job and that you can't always win everything!!

The girls got together and voted on a team name. This is a sign the coaches made for the "Hatboro Red Skulls".

More Promotion Pictures

A few more pictures....

Alexis and her BFF Carrie posing for the camera.

Alexis smiling so big because she will be moving on to middle school

A cake made for the 5th grade class with all of the 5th greader's picture on it. What a cute idea!

Alexis' 5th Grade Promotion

On June 11th Alexis celebrated her 5th grade promotion. Which means this fall my little girl will be moving on to middle school (YIKES). She was so excited for the ceremony and the luncheon with a DJ that they had afterwards. I don;t remember having anything like that when I was in the 5th grade. I was so happy to finally get her in to a dress and looking like a girl. It is bitter sweet watching her grow in to a young woman.

This picture was taken the morning of the ceremony. She and Marissa were getting along so well that morning. I think Marissa was excited that since her big sister was graduating, she got to miss class to come down and watch the ceremony.

I know this isn't the clearest picture, but I had to include it because it is a full shot of Alexis in a dress with her hair down and not up in a ponytail like every other day!!

Alexis was so happy that her dad was able to come down from NY to see her ceremony.

Alexis was one of only 2 kids in the 5th grade class to receive the leadership award. You should have seen the look on her face when they announced her name. I had a feeling it was going to be her, but she insisted that it couldn't be!!

Our Dog Max

Our Dog Max

I almost forgot about this little guy. In a family of all women Max is the only "man" around for Ed to bond with!

Max is our very best friend. Always napping right beside us. And although looking at this picture you would assume that he is a "man's" best friend.......

We all know who Max loves the most!! (only because I give him people food)

Meet The Girls

Alexis

Our biggest tomboy of the bunch. Alexis LOVES sports. Softball is her very favorite to play. It's rare to see her in any clothing that even slightly resembles somemthing that a "girl" would wear!!

Marissa

Marissa is somewhat sporty, but she is all girl at heart. She loves to have her hair and nails done. Our middle child and a serious drama queen!!!

Jillian

Not sure yet what the little Jilly"bean" will grow up to be like. Right now she is the baby by far, 11 years behind Alexis and 8 years behind Marissa!! This picture was taken by our friend michelle. Love it! Thanks Michelle!!
