She's Baaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so I know the first picture of Alexis is blurry but it was all I had!! We picked her up from camp tonight and Marissa told me on the way over that she had butterflies in her stomach because she was so excited to be picking Alexis up from camp! She has been back for about 2 hours and they will not go to sleep. We are leaving here at 5am tomorrow morning for our trip to Utah and I can still hear them whispering in their room. I went in earlier to tell them to save it for tomorrow on the plane and found them both in Alexis' bed. Which is a little crazy because she only has a little twin bed. I have no idea how they can be comfortable sleeping that way! I'm sure all of the "back together bliss" will end tomorrow morning when I wake them up at 4am to get ready. I'm already preparing myself for traveling with 3 cranky girls tomorrow!! I have so much to blog from this past weekend, but no time. Hopefully I will get to it when I get back from vacation!

The camp gives out medals for different relays and Alexis got the silver medal for fast swimming!! Not sure what the other one was for, I will have to find out in the morning!

They were both so happy to see each other!

Missing Alexis

Alexis has been gone at camp for 10 days and will be back this coming Sunday! Marissa and I have missed her so much. The house has been really quiet. I also miss having her around to help out with Jillian. She is an awesome big sister. It's kind of funny that Marissa misses her so much because when they are here together it is non stop bickering! I sure hope that when my girls grow up they will always get along. I hope that they will always have each other to lean on in life! I know their personalities are completely different, but I pray that they will always be close! Despite the bickering, these two have such a bond with one another!!!!

Neil Diamond Concert

Ed's cousin somehow got free tickets to a Neil Diamond Concert so I figured what the heck might as well go. I'm thinking I would have never gone to this if the tickets weren't free. Eventhough I only knew like 3 songs it was still a fun night. The ticket said no cameras were allowed in, but I could have totally gotten mine by security. They weren't even checking your bags just asking if you had a camera and then taking your word for it. Wish I would have known because I missed a ton of great shots of Ed's mom dancing!!! HA HA

The lovely self portrait before leaving for the concert. And in case you are wondering... NO Ed did NOT go to this. He would NEVER!!

I'm only 5"6" but I felt like a giant next to these two!!!

Since I couldn't take my camera in, here is a picture of the shirt Ed's mom bought after the concert out on the street. She was cracking me up because she kept calling at a bogus shirt when she really meant to say boot leg!! HA HA HA !!

And then this is what I came home to! Lucky me!!

Jillian fast asleep

Marissa in bed reading a book

Ed watching T.V

and Max after greeting me at the door, ran up to bed to wait for me! Love that dog!

More from the party....

A few more from Joshua's party...

Bernie got some of the adults to agree to a sack race and I convinced Ed to give it a try. Luckily no one got hurt and Becky won by a mile, but as you can see the women had a huge head start!

Marissa has been doing a great job of "taking care of" Alexis' cell phone while she is away at camp. Needless to say Marissa does not own a cell phone yet! And with the amount she talks she may NEVER own one!

Jillian can almost sit up now and Rachel gave us the great idea to put the boppy pillow around her to help give her some support. Great Idea! We will be doing this now at home to.

Joshua's Birthday Party

Can you believe he's already 6??? Saturday was Joshua's 6th birthday. He had such a cute party with a Nascar/Monster Truck theme. His dad announced him through a microphone as if he were a race car driver! And the cake was so cute with all of the little trucks on it!

Joshua after he was eliminated from the hot potato game!!

Loved this cake!!

My Best Friend

I have had a rough week with the baby. So the other night all of my frustrations came out in one big mess. Unfortunately all of my frustration got taken out on Ed. I vented "at him" instead of "to him" thinking he would just argue back and we would be mad at each other for a few days and then talk through it all once we had clamed down. Well.... to my surprise it didn't happen that way at all. I got it all out on the table and instead of him arguing over what I was upset about, he just calmy replied and basically said he was sorry. Which for me was really strange. I think he has learned a new way of dealing with me when I'm angry. He is a genius because as soon as he didn't take the position of I was totally wrong and he was right and agreed to try to fix the issues....I felt totally guilty for getting so irate. I felt like a complete jerk!! ( smart guy huh?)I now know 100% that Ed is my very best friend. I think he is the only person in this world that truly understands me and knows how to "deal" with me!! So lucky I have him on my side!

Thanks Ed, I love you!!!

Fun at the Pool

Ok so things have been very quiet here the last few days. Alexis is gone at camp which leaves Marissa with no one to fight with. Yesterday we headed over to the pool and Marissa brought a friend along. They were in the water just about the whole time which left Jillian and I on our own. I put her in a little pool raft for the first time which went better than I had expected. I didn't think she would be able to sit up in it very well but with a little help she was fine. Then later I tried once again with her baby sunglasses. Someone sent me these cute little baby sunglasses right after she was born and I could never get her to keep them on until yesterday! LOVE THEM!!
While we were there we met another mom that has a 5 week old baby and it made me realize just how fast they grow up. Jillian looked HUGE next to her!

Overnight Camp

Earlier today we dropped Alexis off at camp. For the last 2 years she has gone to this overnight camp for two weeks. Last year when we dropped her off Marissa and I were crying our eyes out and Alexis was smiling the whole time! I thought this year would be a bit easier since we had already gone through it once. I was WRONG! It was a little different this time around though. Alexis was getting teary eyed before we left the house this afternoon, but was fine on the ride over and once we got there, but again Marissa and I were crying when she walked away. It's funny because she will only be gone for 2 weeks and we both know that, but we don;t get to see her during that time and there are no phone calls either, only letters back and forth. If this goes anything like last year it will be us writing her every single day and we get one little post card from her that the camp makes her send to let us know she is all settled in. She has promised to write us this year, but I have a feeling she will be way to busy for that. The camp has a ton of stuff to do.

I know Alexis was a little upset leaving us for 2 weeks, but just like she always does.. she managed to have a smile on her face so no one else would get upset!

This was Marissa as we were just about to leave the camp... so upset that she would barely even look at me to get a picture, I looked just about the same way though.

Jillian's first professional pics

I know these pictures are almost 2 months old already, but they were taken by our friend Michelle and since I was trying to find a day to meet up with her rather than have her mail them, it took a while. Then once I got them I have been busy and never blogged any of them. I love these pictures!!!! Jillian was less than 3 months old in these and I was tempted to blog all 49 that she took but figured that was way to many. Here are a few of my favorites. I can't believe how much she has grown since these pictures were taken. I'm so excited for her to grow up but at the same time so sad that it is happening so fast!!!

Love the black and white ones!!!!

Of course we had the hardest time trying to get her to smile, but this one was taken towards the end of the shoot and FINALLY A SMILE!!!!!
